THE FOUNDERS OF SOSIAS
Vanessa Heegaard (Nessy) and Giselle Delgado (Gigi) have worked from a very young age, both for other companies and for themselves, uniquely understanding the challenges and opportunities that women experience in the market.
Passionate about sharing all their knowledge, they created SOSIAS to provide a valuable service to other entrepreneurial women who want to sell their products or services online and grow their businesses.

Vanessa (Nessy) Heegaard Buraye
QUEEN BEE
Vanessa "Nessy" is the founder and CEO of SOSIAS. She currently lives in Bogotá, Colombia, and combines her experience in marketing, business, and entrepreneurship with a deep passion for empowering other women. With over 20 years of experience in the United States and Colombia, she has led projects across multiple industries and demonstrated her ability to create innovative strategies, grow businesses, and connect communities. Her focus has always been clear: to use her knowledge to build spaces where women can grow together, support each other, and shine. Beyond her role as CEO, Vanessa is a mother of two and knows firsthand what it means to balance professional dreams with family life. That's why SOSIAS was born not only as a business venture but also as an extension of her personal purpose: to create a community where well-being, collaboration, and growth are at the heart of everything. Today, in addition to leading SOSIAS, she works on brand development, social media, and marketing strategies for companies around the world. Their energy, warmth, and strategic vision are the driving force behind this ever-growing community.

Giselle (Gigi) Delgado Buraye

She has also directed and produced the largest food packing event in Miami-Dade County, engaging 30,000 volunteers to feed malnourished children worldwide, in partnership with the nonprofit organization Feed My Starving Children. A Miami resident and lover for over 33 years, Gigi's graphic design, illustration, and art direction have been instrumental in the development and growth of international art fairs, local cultural events, churches, real estate companies, and more. She has served as Creative Director and partner at Impulso Magazine, founder of "Human Rights | Human Wrongs," and co-founder of ArtCycle. Her passion lies in connecting and showcasing the talents and products of people from all walks of life, as well as supporting nonprofit organizations that raise awareness about the underserved communities she works with. Most recently, Giselle was Creative Director and a rotating instructor at Hope4Life in Miami, a nonprofit community that provides emotional and spiritual guidance, as well as mentoring to empower individuals with the skills to live more fulfilling lives. Now Giselle has her own program of workshops and growth groups to promote conscious living, called LET'S GET REAL - BE HONEST, and she also has her merchandise store Gigi's World where she enjoys designing products, many with her artwork.

And why bees?

Nessy & Gigi chose bees as the symbol of SOSIAS because of their cultural significance and symbolism in history.
Bees are a symbol of teamwork and cooperation, representing a community working for the common good. Each bee plays an important role in the hive, providing for the entire community. Furthermore, bees are a symbol of wealth and prosperity, and are believed to attract good luck and success in business.
Bees are a symbol of new beginnings, hard work, and wisdom, making them a perfect image to represent the SOSIAS entrepreneurs who work hard to build their businesses and achieve their goals.
They chose the name "SOSIAS" for their company because they wanted to create a direct connection with the concept of "sorority" and "sisterhood." By incorporating the "S" in "SOSIAS," they reinforced the idea that women support and empower each other in the business world, regardless of their differences.
Welcome to the hive!
